Radio Mecca (broadcasting from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia) was active on the shortwave bands
in 1950s, serving as the official broadcasting voice of the Saudi kingdom during a volatile era
in Middle Eastern geopolitics.
Although often referred to globally on shortwave listening logs and QSL cards as "Radio Mecca"
due to its spiritual significance and callouts, the physical studio and transmitting operations were
predominantly located in the nearby port city of Jeddah
The phrase on the sticker, "Seksi Bahasa" refers to the Language Section or
Language Department of the broadcasting service
