Defense Forces Broadcasting Unit - 6570 Khz - Station Overview

Station Program Audio With Interval Signal

Audio Contributed by Istvan Hegedus (Hungary)

Historically, shortwave DXers and radio monitors logged this station broadcasting on a single frequency of
6570 kHz, typically in the evening hours around 1300–1400 UTC. Its primary transmitter location has
traditionally been listed as Taunggyi, the capital of Shan State in Myanmar (formerly Burma)

Because the station serves as a specialized domestic military broadcasting unit rather than an international
broadcast service, verifying a reception report with a QSL card or letter is exceptionally difficult.
